Get a WaterPik®
The best advice I could give anyone who has even the slightest problem with their teeth is to spend about fifty bucks and buy a WaterPik® machine.
Some people have no trouble maintaining perfect teeth. They have no cavities at all, and somehow their teeth are in a perfect state of heath with little more effort than brushing and flossing.
This was not the case for me. As a young boy I had lots of cavities. I continued to develop lots of cavities after having my permanent teeth. There was also something about the makeup of my mouth that developed a lot of tartar. Each time I went to have a teeth cleaning the hygienist would pick out large chunks of calculus. Sometimes it even felt like a part of a tooth had been taken off. Of course it was a tooth with an excessive amount of tartar.
As long as I would brush and floss my teeth a couple of times per day and also kept going in religiously to the dentist at least twice a year to have my teeth professionally cleaned, things would be OK. When I stopped that, I would get into trouble.
In fact at about the age of 30 or so, I had not been to a dentist in quite a while, and I finally was having bad toothaches and couldn’t hold out any longer. I went to a dentist who told me I had been badly neglecting my teeth, and he told me I should immediately get a WaterPik machine. He said that if everyone in his practice would use a WaterPik® regularly, the number of treatments he would be required to make would be cut in half.
For about the past 25 years I have not had a new cavity. Some of the old ones have worn out and needed to be redone, but using a WaterPik® on a regular basis and getting my teeth cleaned at the dentist’s office keeps me out of trouble. My dental hygienist does have to scrape a bit of tarter each time, but it is not much. And she says my gums are very healthy and never bleed.
When people have gum disease they will have constant inflammation showing up on blood tests, and this condition is not good for one’s overall health and is not only a teeth problem. A WaterPik® is easy to use and is perfectly natural. By avoiding dental problems it can more than pay for itself over time. For disclosure purposes let me say I have no relationship with the company that sells this device. I am just a long time user who knows the benefits of using it.
